I do not think I am taking my birth control very seriously. I have been skipping days, and forgetting to take it. Post cesarean, I know that I need time for my body to heal. I know that I had major surgery, and I know that I should not get pregnant right away. But I just cannot take birth control seriously.

It took us a decade, a lot of money, and a team of medical professionals to get pregnant the first time. And considering male factor was part of our problem, I have a hard time believing I need birth control to prevent pregnancy. Why waste the money? It is not likely to happen.

Granted, our issue is poor morphology, so we do have sperm. Because of that, there is a chance that I could get pregnant. A very small chance. If it does happen, I will take it, but I am not expecting much.

I do not think I am going to refill my birth control prescription. Between breastfeeding and MFI, the chances of me getting pregnant are really low.

If you are infertile, you have built in birth control.

LOL. I've had the exact same thought. Plus BCP make me feel icky. Most likely it's going to be condoms or nothing around here. I'll take my chances, thanks!

I don't take birth control…the doctor's office was really annoyed with me that I didn't want BC…in spite of them KNOWING we had to use a donor. If I were to get pregnant without intervention I would ABSOLUTELY take it…plus I have enough to remember without that stupid little pill.

It's true that given your circumstances, the odds are very slim. But I know 3 bloggers, all of whom had MFI, who ended up pregnant within around a year of their first babies' births. So once you're no longer bf'ing exclusively, you may need to revisit this. Just sayin…

We have serious male factor issues as well.. poor count, morphology, and acrosomal abnormalities..were surprised with baby #2's BFP a few months after my daughters 1st birthday. It happens. And when we decided we were absolutely and positively done, we wasted another $300 on getting husband snipped. It really felt like flushing money down the toilet. And yet… I've got two kids. So it does happen out of the blue. Just be aware!

I was the same way. I had to stop taking birth control pills the same month I started because I would go 3-4 days with out even thinking about them.
